A Wedding Industry Fizz Night

So back in March my wifi went down and I ended up hot-desking over at Miss Bush Bridal. Whilst there, an email from The Inspiration Space pinged into my inbox about a wedding industry supper club that was to be held in 2 weeks time at The Nest Home and Cafe, which happens to be next door to Miss Bush Bridal. Myself and Emma from Miss Bush thought it would be a great idea to collaborate and use the boutique as an event space to host a pre drinks party.

So with 2 weeks to do it and The Chapel as the bespoke event space, I set about creating a collaborative drinks party to host The Inspirations Space's wedding industry guests for a fun evening of networking.

STYLING

Knowing I wanted lots of greenery and plants everywhere, with hits of gold, I contacted the lovely Claire from Turmeric House to collaborate on the styling. She has an abundance of props that I knew would fit for this event and is a pro at creating experiential events. So we had a blast putting this design together. Over coffee is where our idea for the suspended bar came to life and wow it turned out better than we had hoped!

To help pull the whole design together, we had Alison from Mad Lilies to come down and inject some floral magic. I am a huge fan of flowers and Mad Lilies are one of my favourites to work with. She created a stunning spring arch out the front of The Chapel as well as covering the balcony inside in some beautiful foliage and pops of Bluebird blue. Lots of pots of Mascari were also dotted about the place to inject a spring feel throughout the space.

NETOWRKING

Another key feature I was desperate to include was 'The Hub'. This was such a hit on the night and great fun for a networking event. The idea was that at the beginning of the evening, all the envelopes were sealed and empty. As suppliers mingled they were invited to place their business cards into any unopened envelopes and as many of them as they wanted. At the end of the evening, the envelopes were bursting to the brim with business cards and new contacts. Each guest removed an envelope before leaving and hopefully increased the amount of contacts they had made that evening.

THE EVENT

On to the event itself and what a buzz it was. We had a fantastic acoustic duo from Uptown Music play during the evening, whilst guests mingled and networked. Our stunning seating was supplied by Lounge and Linger. Probably the most beautiful poseur tables and chairs I have come across and they most certainly fitted in with the style of the evening.

The event was a buzzing success with everyone meeting new suppliers in the industry, catching up with old contacts and a few glasses of fizz to feed that buzz. Definitely something we would love to do again!
