Use Pinterest to plan your wedding | Wedding Planning | Bride Academy

Pinterest can be your friend or nemesis when starting your wedding planning journey. Make sure it is your friend, with these simple tips to ensure you stay realistic and know what is achievable!

So top tips to take away from this video tutorial for using Pinterest to help plan your wedding:

Don't approach suppliers with your Pinterest dreams, suss out what is realistic and can work for your wedding day and what you think is achievable with your budget. By all means ask your supplier what they think is achievable within your budget!

Are the pictures you're looking at from a shoot or a real wedding? Shoots are more for inspiration and cannot always be copied as they don't work with the flow of your day. Remember your guests experience and journey through out the day as well as yours. You don't want amazing floral displays that block guests eye lines etc!

Start with one board and pin what you like. Then start seperate boards for the different elements of the day and start pinning from your main board, but make sure what you pin all fits to your chosen theme. You may find the main board will have a mix of themes and colours. But after building that board, you should work out what direction you want to head in. So then when you start splitting to the separate boards, everything should align. Then you can always create an online collage on Canva to put together the full vibe for your suppliers to see.
